Joe Coursey - Custom Motorcycle Instructor

Joe comes to the Hot Rod Institute with over 28 years experience in motorcycle chassis fabrication, Harley Davidson systems, welding and machine shop experience; including owning his own shop for over 25 years. He has been an instructor since 2005, following Doug to the Hot Rod Institute after teaching with him at VC Tech. He is well versed in specialty performance engines, transmissions and fabrications, giving him the capability to help students learn to build top performance motorcycles.

Joe holds several records in the American Drag Bike Association, American Motorcycle Race Association, and the All Harley Drag Race Association to include:

• 2003 National Championship Top Fuel Racing Title
• 1998 World 1/8 mile record holder in both mph and elapsed time
• 1998-1997 National Championship Pro Stock Racing Title
